Graded Monitoring Centres in New Zealand
As part of the Accreditation process, members who provide monitoring services from their own monitoring centre are inspected and graded with the applicable Standard AS2201.2-2004 OR 2201.2-2022 Intruder Alarm Systems, Part 2 Monitoring Centres.
The Standard includes a Compliance Schedule that enables centres to be graded against a range of measures covering:
Building, services, construction, security and control (GRADED A to C)
Equipment and staff (GRADED 1 to 3)
The NZSA recommends that monitoring centres in New Zealand meet Grading C3 as a minimum.
IT IS ALSO NOTED THAT THE FOLLOWING NEW ZEALAND-BASED MONITORING COMPANIES PROVIDE MONITORING SERVICES THROUGH GRADED MONITORING CENTRES LOCATED IN AUSTRALIA.
The NZSA has not graded these centres however we acknowledge that ASIAL grades Australian based Monitoring Centres against the same Standard (AS2202.2-2004 OR AS2201.2-2022):
