We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Technician to join our team in Auckland.
The role is a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, program, and test access control, intruder alarm, CCTV, and intercom systems.
- Install interconnected IP-based systems, including intercoms, networks, and monitoring platforms.
- Conduct pre-commissioning and functional testing of systems.
- Perform service and preventative maintenance when required.
- Participate in rotating on-call roster to ensure 24/7 availability for prompt response and support to our customers, with reasonable compensation paid for availability and call outs.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and end-users.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
As you’d expect, technical skills are important.
We’ll be looking to be impressed by your solid background working with access control and CCTV systems, and your knowledge of IT systems and networking.
Equally vital though will be your ability to strike up a conversation and communicate well with both clients and colleagues.
We’re looking for:
- 5+ Years of relevant experience in electronic security
- Proven experience with access control systems (Gallagher, Tecom, Integriti, Protégé).
- Proven experience with CCTV systems (Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec).
- Strong knowledge of IT systems and networking (servers, switches, firewalls).
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Accurate and methodical work habits, a strong work ethic, and reasonable fitness.
- Clean criminal record, and NZ Driver’s License.
