Active Electro Dunedin is looking for a Qualified Security Technician to join our growing security division. We need someone who can hit the ground running, help us meet deadlines, and deliver the high standard of work our clients have come to expect.

About the role: You’ll be installing, servicing, and maintaining a variety of security systems across Dunedin and Otago – including alarm systems, access control, CCTV, and integrated security solutions. We’re busy, the work is varied and interesting, and there’s a real opportunity here to grow your skills even further. Some travel outside of Dunedin may be required at times.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Security Technician with relevant industry experience (alarms, CCTV, access control).
  • Security Technician licence and/or PSPLA registration (or able to obtain).
  • Full, clean NZ driver’s licence.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail – you take pride in a job well done.
  • Honest, reliable, and not afraid to ask for help when you need it.
  • Good communication skills with workmates, contractors, and clients.
  • Able to work independently but also pitch in as part of the team.
