THE ROLE

As a Security Technician your role will include electronic security installations, reactive and planned service work, commissioning on our corporate and government sites. This is a permanent, full-time role, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You’ll also participate in a rotating on-call roster to ensure 24/7 availability for prompt response and support to our customers, with reasonable compensation paid for availability and callouts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Service and fault-finding on access control, CCTV, intruder, and intercom systems
  • Install and commission electronic security systems (IP-based and wired)
  • Perform system programming and pre-commissioning
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and after-hours fault response

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

As you’d expect, technical skills are important.

We’ll be looking to be impressed by your solid background working with access control and CCTV systems, and your knowledge of IT systems and networking.

Equally vital though will be your ability to strike up a conversation and communicate well with both clients and colleagues.

We’re looking for:

  • 3 – 5 Years of experience in electronic security
  • Experience with access control systems; Gallagher, Tecom, Integriti, Protégé.
  • Experience with CCTV systems; Milestone, Avigilon, Genetec.
  • IT systems and networking experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication, with good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Accurate and methodical work habits, a strong work ethic, and reasonable fitness.
  • Clean criminal record and NZ Driver’s License.
