Jane McCarroll is Skills’ strategic partnership and sponsorship lead and has extensive
experience across a broad remit of functions including brand and communications,
media planning and liaison, sponsorships, partnerships, emceeing, event management
and leadership of people, strategies and projects.

Craig Garner
Chief Executive, Business Mentors New Zealand

Craig has worked in a diverse range of business sectors including engineering, advertising,
sales and marketing, and ICT. Craig has held senior management and board positions with
a diverse range of organisations with much of his work focused on adult education,
communications and business development.

Phil Parkes
Chief Operating Officer, WorkSafe New Zealand

Phil leads day-to-day operations across WorkSafe, including High Hazards, Energy and Public
Safety, Health-and-Safety Innovation, Operational Excellence, General Inspectorate, Specialist
Interventions, and Health and Technical Services.

Trish McConnell
Authority, Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority

Trish McConnell heads the Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority and the Licensing Authority of Secondhand Dealers and Pawnbrokers. She was previously chair of the Weathertight Homes Tribunal and the Tenancy Tribunal. Trish has also worked as a Barrister specialising in alternative disputes resolution and as a Lawyer, both in private legal practice and with Community Law Centres.
