NZSA security update – changes to PSPLA application process

Please see below notice from the Private Security Personnel Licencing Authority Service (PSPLA) regarding changes to the application process.
Subject: Upcoming changes to PSPLA application process.

Background context: The PSPLA process improvement project is about to go live with a number of changes to the PSPLA application process. This communications notice is to inform relevant external end users of these changes.

What: Starting Friday 3 June:

  1. PSPLA customers will be required to upload a scan of their ID used in the application for the purpose of a photo ID comparison check. A new function will be added to the application form that allows customers to upload a photo of their ID (e.g. passports, driver’s license).
  2. PSPLA staff will carry out a photo ID comparison check between the Permit Photo and uploaded ID photo. This task was previously carried out by NZ Post staff in the old ‘pick up’ process.

The online application form will be unavailable on Thursday 2 June to implement updates. This will occur in the evening, between 9pm-11pm.

Action: Take note in the change of service.

Coming later: This is the final release in the PSPLA process improvement project. Thank you for your support during these changes.

Questions: Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions regarding these changes.
