    Security Trainee of the Year 2017

    This award recognises an individual who has made outstanding progress in professional development and training for their role in the security industry. They will have displayed commitment to training and achieving results through the national qualification framework. The nominated person must have been, or be, studying towards national qualifications in security.

    • Nominations must describe how the individual has displayed outstanding progress in developing their skills and knowledge through the training they have undertaken.
    • The judges will be looking for evidence of professional development and progress including:
      i) Discussing the key strengths of the individual
      ii) Identifying the factors that enable the individual to excel
      iii) Demonstrating the use of skills and knowledge to achieve positive outcomes
      iv) Demonstrating a desire for continued learning and development

  • An independent panel of judges, including representatives of the NZSA Board, will convene to select a winner. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be announced at the NZSA-The Skills Organisation Awards Dinner held at Te Papa (National Museum of New Zealand) Wellington, Friday 25 August 2017.
