    Security Consultant of the Year 2017


    This award recognises the Security Consultant who has demonstrated outstanding performance in their role. Consultants often play a key role in security in offering expertise and insight that can transform the quality of service, product or system that is offered. It recognises the existence of distinct skill sets and crucially the ways there are harnessed and managed to make a difference to security strategy and/or practice.

    • Nominations must describe how the Security Consultant has displayed outstanding performance in terms of leadership skills, a focus on the customer and by adding value or otherwise driving excellence.
    • The judges will be looking for evidence of outstanding performance in:
      i) Discussing the ways in which the consultant has driven performance
      ii) Highlighting the key distinguishing strengths of the consultant including leadership skills
      iii) Identifying the ways in which the role has positively influenced wider business operations
      iv) Providing examples of building effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders
      v) Demonstrating how high performance and benefits are sustained

  • An independent panel of judges, including representatives of the NZSA Board, will convene to select a winner. The judges’ decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The winner will be announced at the NZSA-The Skills Organisation Awards Dinner held at Te Papa (National Museum of New Zealand) Wellington, Friday 25 August 2017.

 Entries/nominations can be made by individuals or organisations or on behalf of individuals or organisations.
