An Islamic book store in Brisbane has been raided by Australian Police today and two men taken into custody.
Officers are still on scene at the iQraa Islamic Centre in Underwood, Newscorp reports.
As the raid was made, seven raids were carried out on homes across the Logan area.
Police say it is part of an ongoing investigation.
Also today, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation chief David Irvine revealed security authorities are “actively considering” raising Australia’s terrorism threat level from medium to high.
Mr Irvine said the risk of a terrorist attack on home soil, linked to unrest in the Middle East, had reached a new high in the 13 years since the September 11 terror attacks in the US.
